Mercedes will ditch the "sandwich" floor because its claimed that it is too expensive to porduce and will allow the platform to be used for other vehicles.The 2011 A-Class is set to rival small premium cars like the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series and Audi A2. Prices are expected to start from £16,500. The A-Class platform will also spawn a possible cabriolet, sedan, SUV and an MPV.
