Alfa Romeo 4C to launch new product offensive in U.S

As Alfa Romeo prepares for its big comeback, Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has announced that the brand will launch in late 2012 with a flux of new models.

Initially, the brand will offer the 4C Coupé in limited numbers. Mid-2013 will see the introduction of a MiTo-based five-door supermini, a compact crossover and the Giulia mid-sized sedan. Later on in the year, a facelifted Giulietta may go on sale, alongside a roadster based upon Chrysler's LX architecture, that underpins the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Challenger Coupé.

A Giulia station wagon and range-topping long wheelbased CUSW (compact U.S. Wide) sedan may hit outlets in 2014. In addition, the Italian brand has reportedly aborted its plans to develop a replacement of the G.C based Cherokee/Liberty replacement.
