The new model will sit upon a possible Daimler sourced platform that may underpin the next-generation Z-Series sports car. Additionally, Nissan has asked Lotus to tweak the vehicle's chassis.
Although powertrains remain unknown, Nissan is considering both full electric and hybrid systems. Look out for a market launch in 2013.
