Spied: 2013 Kia Sorento facelift

Kia engineers are pushing the revised Sorento mid-sized SUV to the max!

Spied undergoing gruelling high-speed testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife race-track in Germany, the facelifted Sorento will receive a fully redesigned fascia.

The headlights will obtain LED daytime running lights and a reflective above. The shorter but wider 'tiger' honeycomb grille and larger air intakes will complete the fascia updates. Reworked taillamps, rear bumper, new alloy wheels, and a tweaked cabin will complete the mid-cycle refresh.

Minor changes under the hood will see fuel efficiency and performance increase and CO2 emissions decrease, although a revised turbocharged 2.2 CRDi with over 200bhp (203PS/149kW) is bring whispered.

The current Sorento was first previewed at the New York Auto Show in March 2009 and was launched during late 2009 in Europe, so we anticipate the altered Sorento to launch in late 2013 as a 2014 model year.
