Spied: 2014 Mercedes C-Class

In our third 'spied' instalment, spies have caught the upcoming Mercedes C-Class sitting in traffic in Germany. Doing so, they also spied the interior for the first time.

Despite the extensive cladding, the next C-Class is expected to adopt styling cues off the larger CLS coupé and will feature a smaller oval-shaped grille.

Aluminium construction will allow the compact executive sedan to be lighter, longer, and wider than the current model.

Although still in prototype form, the cabin looks as if it will be more simplified with a row of switchgear sitting below a trio of air-vents, although an eight-inch infotainment system will dominate the top-half of the centre console.

Aside from the usual bodystyles, (wagon, coupé, convertible, and sedan), an MPV with all-wheel-drive, dubbed Midsize Sports Tourer (MST), is rumoured for production in 2016.
