We've seen the new Chrysler/Dodge compact sedan in mule and prototype form, but this is the first time we have encountered a pre-production model of the new Dodge sedan. Set to be called Hornet (the Hornet concept was a supermini), the vehicle was spied deep within a Chrysler facility, ready to take the road after being disguised.
Visually, the newcomer looks contemporary despite missing its headlights. The fascia seems to be dominated by a glossy black squat crosshair grille, which lends a sporty, dynamic look.
When the 'PF' goes on sale, power will come from a series of 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated and turbocharged petrol engines. Look out for a market launch in mid-2012.
