The production version of the Subaru XV will bow next month at the 2011 IAA. The XV will “remains true to the concept” shown at the Shanghai motor show in April and is confident to bring “something fresh, as well as a new level of engineering excellence, to the segment.”
It “will bring a new type of customer to the Brand, people who are confident in the knowledge of the company’s AWD and engineering expertise and who are also looking for the flexibility and lifestyle statement that owning a crossover brings” Subaru added.
Power will come from a 2.0 litre flat-four-cylinder petrol that's mated to a CVT transmission with a 2.0 litre diesel being available at a later date. The XV is 4,450mm long, 1,780mm wide, and 1,570mm high. It is expected to launch in the UK in Spring 2012.
