Ferrari aiming to sell 8,000 units per annum

2012 Ferrari FF
Italian car maker, Ferrari is looking to sell around 8,000 vehicles per annum after speaking with a German publication. CEO Luca di Montezemolo said in order to achieve that figure, Latin America, namely Brazil, China, and India will be important markets for the brand.

"A lot depends on India, Latin America and China. There is growth potential there," said Montezemolo in an interview. And it's the latter that will be the key, as it will be Ferrari's third largest market by the end of the year.

The brand is on course to sell around 7,000 vehicles for 2011, of which 500 units will come from China. Although the aspiring figure has attracted some criticism as Japan is another important market, where the firm sells 400 units yearly but its economy collapsed and questions have risen about the Chinese economy and how long it can sustain its current growth.
