GM Europe has released the first images of its hardcore Corsa VXR Nurburgring Edition that will take on the Renaultsport Clio 200 Cup head on.
Engineers have tweaked the vehicle's turbocharger and engine management system to ensure the 1.6 litre petrol engine produces 202bhp (210PS/154kW) and 280Nm (207lb-ft) of torque, up from 189bhp (192PS/141kW) and 276Nm (196lb-ft). That allows for a top speed of 143mph (230km/h).
Other alterations include a mechanical multi-plate limited-slip differential, bespoke Bilstein springs, Brembo brakes, revised ABS, ESC and traction control systems. To top it off, two new metallic colours (apple green ‘Grasshopper’ and red ‘Henna’) will be offered, alongside the standard Nurburgring plaques, white stitching on the Recaro seats, and piano black interior trim.
Sales start in late May with prices starting at at £22,295 or €27,650 if you're living in Germany.
