Chevrolet Corvette sales increase 13% (U.S)

Chevrolet has seen sales of the Corvette sports car increase by 13% since the start of the year. Sales of the Corvette dropped back in 2006, and continued to decline until 2010.

Chevrolet dealerships managed to shift 955 Corvettes, however, 2011's figure are likely to be below the historically high figures.

The year 2006 saw Chevrolet retailers shift 36,518 Corvettes, while 2010 saw meagre figures of 12,624. It remains to be seen if the Corvette can proceed its current trend, with Summer being the prime-time for Corvette sales.

With the seventh generation of the Corvette due in 2014, sales may boost significantly.
