Cadillac has revealed that its new range-topper will be added to the line-up in Spring 2012. Codenamed XTS, the newcomer will replace both the STS mid-sized sedan and the larger DTS.
Although prototypes have been spied all over the United States, GM has said the new large executive sedan will reflect that of the 2010 XTS Platinum concept car and will debut either in LA during November or Detroit in January 2012.

GM has very high hopes for the XTS. "The Cadillac XTS is being designed to compete and win against the finest luxury cars," GM said. "It takes a new, modern approach to the large luxury sedan, combining high-tech electronics and engaging driving dynamics in a car that is also elegant and spacious," the company added.
Production of the 2013 XTS will commence in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada with GM investing $117m to prepare the facility and at the same time, "create or retain" 400 jobs on the Flex Line.
