Seat launches León FR+ (UK)

Seat has released the new 'FR+' trim-level for the León hatchback. Sitting above the FR, FR+ adds equipment like 18” alloy wheels, Seat Media System; 5” touch-screen satellite navigation system, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, front and rear parking sensors, FR sports seats, LED rear lights, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rain and light sensors, matte silver door mirrors, and twin-chrome exhaust pipes.

Power comes from either a 2.0 litre TSI petrol mill or a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine, that's mated to either a slick 6-speed manual or a DSG transmission.

Steve Robertson, SEAT UK’s Head of Marketing, said: ‘The Leon FR has been an important mainstay of the SEAT line-up for some time, so it clearly makes sense to maximise its appeal.

‘I think the showroom debut of these great new cars, which coincides perfectly with the important September plate change and makes the Leon FR range both more accessible and more attractive, should keep our dealers very busy!’

Prices for the León FR+ 2.0 TDI start from £22,615, a £1,070 premium over standard FR versions. Meanwhile, Seat has also deleted the entry-level S, lower mid-spec SE, and upper-mid spec Sport trim-levels for the 2012MY.
